For your EU drone certificate A1/A3 and A2
Know when you’re ready for your drone exam.
Practise with questions built from the official European syllabus, together with the rules of the country where you fly. For every mistake you see the reasoning error behind it, and you see when you’re ready to pass.

Your score · pass mark 75%

- Based on EU Regulation 2019/947
- With the rules of your country
- Source and review date for every rules question
Why practise here
Not just right or wrong, but why.
Most practice sites let you answer questions until you know them by heart. We show you what you don’t understand yet, so you pass because you know the rules.
Your reasoning error, explained
For every wrong answer you see which line of thought you followed and where it went wrong, so you don’t make the same mistake twice.
Know when you’re ready
For each subject you see whether you’re on track. Mock exams follow the real exam: same number of questions, same pass mark.
The rules of your country
Europe has one syllabus, but not the same rules everywhere. Where your country differs, such as on flying at night, you’ll see it.
A source for every rules question
Every question about the rules refers to the article it is based on, with the date we last checked it.

Certificate about to expire?
Your drone certificate is valid for five years.
The first certificates from 2021 are expiring now. Once yours has expired, you have to sit the exam again. A good moment to refresh your knowledge.
Start with A1/A3 for free.
Practise as often as you like. You only pay, once, when you move on to A2.
Please note: DroneTheoryPrep is a practice platform. We do not hold exams, do not issue certificates and are not affiliated with or recognised by EASA or any national aviation authority. You take the real exam with an examination body appointed by the authorities. Our questions are our own, written from the official European syllabus; they are not exam questions.
